“I don’t think he’s the answer”; “Feel like we have enough guys like that” - Yankees fans not open to possible Jazz Chisholm Jr. trade option
Jazz Chisholm Jr. is one name that has been swirling around MLB trade rumors. The Miami Marlins might part ways with their second baseman as several teams seem to be involved in Chisholm, including the New York Yankees.
While nothing has been certain about Chisholm moving to the Bronx, there's no denying that the Yanks need some extra firepower. After their terrible slump through June, Aaron Boone and his team could use an extra pair of hands to improve their team's performance.
As much as they need to turn things around, Yankees fans are not keen on Jazz Chisholm Jr. Several fans believe that Chisholm will not be the perfect fit for the team.
Here's a look at some of the fan reactions to Chisholm being a possible trade option for the Yankees.
"No I don’t think he’s the answer to our all of our problems," said one fan.
"Not really, injured way too much and is way too injury prone. Feel like we have enough guys like that," another fan said.
"Be honest, do you think by adding him, it will fix the glaring deficiency on offense and still need to fix other Major areas as well?" a fan said.
Several fans responded in disagreement for Chisholm to become a Yankee.
"I don't think he'd gel into the lockeroom, also I don't see how his offense would be enough to get us wins being a career .250 hitter and not being able to stay off the IL," one fan said.
"Enough with the outfielders already. Go after needs! A catcher that can throw out runners, a 2nd baseman and a 3rd baseman, that can actually play," another fan said.
However, not all fans were closed to the idea of Yankees acquiring Jazz Chisholm Jr..
"Jazz would be well received in NYC. I don't want to replace Gleyber, but Jazz has been the best in Miami. He's a great 2nd baseman, and can hit and run!!," one fan said.
Royals and Mariners join Yankees as potential landing spots for Jazz Chisholm Jr.
The Kansas City Royals and the Seattle Mariners are also on the list of potential landing spots for Jazz Chisholm Jr. The Royals are one of the teams eagerly waiting to upgrade their starting rotation before the trade deadline.
On the other hand, the Mariners are lacking the right talent at second base. Jorge Polanco has been struggling this season, and Jazz Chisholm Jr is one of the options for them.
