"I expect good things from him" - WWE superstar Damian Priest heaps praise on Jazz Chisholm Jr. for breathing new life into the team
The New York Yankees went out and acquired Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline. Since the transition, he has done nothing but turn heads in the Bronx.
In five games with the club, he has already clobbered four home runs and is looking to be one of the best trade deadline acquisitions so far. He is yet another source of sneaky power in an already dangerous lineup.
His addition to the team is something that WWE superstar and Yankees fan, Damian Priest is fired up about. He joined the crew on MLB Central to discuss the team's newest addition.
"I'm excited to see where the team can go with his addition. Obviously, so far so good, it's a small sample, but I like it, man. It breeds new life into the team," - said Priest.
Priest believes that the addition of Jazz Chisholm Jr. has brought a new spark to the team. And while the sample is small, Priest expects the slugger to keep pressing.
"I feel like it's the beginning of the season again. I expect good things from him and I'm excited to see what he can do and what the team is going to do with him" - said Priest.
Things are certainly looking good in the Bronx. After finding themselves in a slump the last few months, this team is back to looking like a well-oiled machine.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. has been a sparkplug for the Yankees
Some were uncertain if the Yankees trading to acquire Jazz Chisholm Jr. was a good idea or not. However, after just a few games, not many are questioning that anymore.
From what he has done at the plate, to his versatility around the field, this is exactly what the Yanks needed. He has been a sparkplug, but not just on the field.
Anthony Volpe is a big fan of the slugger's game and the flare he brings to the clubhouse. He shared that he brings "juice and energy" to the clubhouse. With the addition, the Bronx Bombers have overtaken the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East. They look like a true contender, and should only get better in the next few weeks.
Some key contributors are set to make their way back into the lineup after some injury troubles. Pitchers Ian Hamilton and Clarke Schmidt are ramping it up, hoping to return to the rotation ASAP.
