“I couldn’t sleep” - When Mookie Betts talked about his allegedly haunted hotel experience in Milwaukee and why he avoided staying with the Dodgers
It seems that there is nearly nothing that Mookie Betts cannot do in life. The ultra-talented star of the LA Dodgers has made a name for himself by playing all over the field on defense, as well as his impressive talent as a bowler. All that being said, a future role with the Ghostbusters may be out of the cards.
"Mookie Betts is better than you at everything. Here he is bowling another 300" - @Leg_baseball
The two-time World Series champion made headlines ahead of the Dodgers' away series against the Milwaukee Brewers. For the second year in a row, Mookie Betts is not staying with the rest of the team at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Instead, the former MVP will be at his own Airbnb.

The reason behind Mookie refusing to stay at the historic hotel may be a tad more eerie than simply not liking the establishment. Pfister Hotel, which was built in 1893 is said to be haunted, which is something Betts does not want to mess around with.
The Dodgers superstar stayed at the hotel in the past and the experience is something that he no longer wishes to relive.
"I couldn’t sleep,” Betts said of his stay. “Every noise, I’d be like, ‘Is that something?," he told the Orange County Register back in May 2023.
Although Betts said that he does not believe in ghosts, he also stated that he has no desire to be proven wrong.
“I just don’t want to find out myself," Betts said.
Mookie Betts is not the only MLB player to have uncomfortable experiences at the Pfister Hotel
Although a stunning piece of architecture, several baseball players have had supernatural experiences at the iconic Pfister Hotel. From Jon Gray to new Hall of Famer Adrian Beltre, there have been some reported incidents that occurred for visiting MLB stars.
During a 2012 interview with ESPN, two-time MVP Bryce Harper said that while he was taking a shower, something happened in his room. According to him, he laid out his clothes for the day but when he came out of the shower, "the clothes were on the floor and the table was on the opposite side of the room."
Perhaps Mookie Betts has a point staying elsewhere.
