"If Judge hits a grand slam imma delete my twitter" - Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell's post surfaces after Aaron Judge's stellar night against Mets

Aaron Judge had a night of individual brilliance against the Mets as the Yankees captain hit his seventh career grand slam, albeit in a losing effort. The Yanks lost 9-7, a game mostly made competitive thanks to Judge going yard in the top of the eighth innings.

Quite coincidentally, Cleveland Cavaliers' guard Donovan Mitchell had claimed that if Judge hit a grand slam, he would delete his X (formerly Twitter) account.

The Yankees were off to a poor beginning as starter Gerrit Cole earned six runs during his outing. On his second start after his injury layoff, the ace lacked velocity, resulting in the Mets plundering four home runs against him. After a three-run sixth inning, the score was 9-1 in favor of the Mets.

Aaron Judge started the resurgence as he doubled in the seventh inning, scoring with Anthony Volpe. In the next inning, bases were stacked as Trent Grisham, Austin Wells and Juan Soto reached base.

Judge, on a 2 outs, 0-2 count, hit a 390-foot grand slam that sailed into the Yankees bullpen in right field to cut the lead by more than half. After the scare, the rest of the Mets' arms managed to hold on to the lead to earn the victory.

After the game, 5x NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell's tweet surfaced online, where he claimed that if Judge hits a grand slam, he will sacrifice his Twitter space.

"If judge hits a grand slam imma leave twitter," the fan wrote.

The tweet soon gained a lot of traction as fans asked him to keep his word and leave the social media app.

Juan Soto is all praises for teammate Aaron Judge

Juan Soto, who had a solo home run of his own to start the Yankees scoring, had a lot of nice words for teammate Aaron Judge. Both Soto and Judge have been the main figures of the Bombers batting lineup that has mostly shone throughout the season.

"Every time he steps in that box, something good is going to happen, he's an unbelievable player," Soto said.

Aaron Judge, currently at the halfway mark, has 29 home runs and is projected to get at least 58 home runs. He will look to break his 62 home run American League record that he achieved in 2022.
