"In my defense your honor, did you see my backflip?" - Fans react as tased Reds fan appears in court wearing team jersey

A Cincinnati Reds fan interrupted the game against the Cleveland Guardians at the Great American Ballpark on Tuesday night. The fan was wearing an old No. 5 Johnny Bench jersey when he attempted to run away from security after jumping down on the field in the ninth inning.

Additionally, the young fan was seen chatting with Guardians OF Tyler Freeman before taking off to escape the security officials. The 19-year-old, identified as William Hendon, even did a backflip before trying to outrun security but was eventually tased. He appeared in the courtroom on Wednesday and was still wearing the Johnny Bench jersey.

Fans didn't hold back from reacting to the theatrics of the young fan as funny comments started pouring in as he became an overnight sensation at the Great American Ballpark.

The Guardians beat the Reds 5-3 in Game 1 of the two-game mini series at the Great American Ballpark on Tuesday night. It was a bullpen game for Cincinnati, and the pitchers did well, except for Nick Martinez, who gave up three runs in a close game.

The hosts will be hopeful of tying the series on Wednesday night before traveling to the American Family Field for a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.

The bullpen relievers continued the positive momentum, while 3B Jeimer Candelario smashed two home runs and drove in all four runs on the night to secure a 4-2 victory for the Reds at the Great American Ballpark. The mini-series was split between the two ballclubs.
