In Photo: Paul Skenes shares precious Olivia Dunne memory as his girlfriend takes in the Paris Olympics
Olivia Dunne is in Paris attending the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, and her boyfriend Paul Skenes has posted a throwback photo in her absence. Dunne, who has a more socially involved personality in this relationship, would be pleased to know her boyfriend is missing her.
On Thursday, Skenes posted a photo from their time when they enjoyed a boat ride a month earlier. The couple are pictured enjoying the serene atmosphere surrounding them.
"@LivvyDunne [heart emoji]," Skenes wrote in her story.
The post was about Dunne's June 24 post, where the couple can be seen getting cozy. They were in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the time.
Dunne and Skenes are having a fine year. Dunne finally won her much-awaited NCAA championship with the LSU Tigers in April. She was also featured in the 60th anniversary of the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
On the other hand, Skenes also made a mark this year. After winning the College World Series last year with LSU, the pitcher was picked first overall in the 2023 MLB Draft. The following year, he made his debut with the Pirates and has since been the best pitcher in the majors, even getting the nod to start the All-Star Game for the National League.
Paul Skenes learns how to handle fame from Olivia Dunne
The LSU gymnast has seen a lot of fame despite just being 21 years old. She is the highest-paid female college athlete, boasting $3.9 million in NIL earnings per year. Moreover, she boasts millions of followers on social media and is already an ambassador for many brands.
This has helped Skenes. He says that his girlfriend, who is more experienced in handling fame, is also helping him deal with it.
“It’s been great. She’s helped me in a lot of ways in terms of managing all the hype - how to manage everything that goes around being a pro athlete, [because] she’s kinda lived it,” Skenes told MLB Network.
Dunne fans have more to be excited about. Earlier last month, she announced that she would be returning for her fifth and final year to help the Lady Tigers defend their NCAA crown.
