In Photos: Brewers pitcher Tobias Myers ties the knot with longtime partner Leah Angelillo
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Tobias Myers becomes the latest baseball player to enter the wedding club. Myers made his MLB debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates in April. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the sixth round of the 2016 draft.
On Saturday, at The Boca Raton hotel in Boca Raton, Florida, Myers wed his longtime girlfriend Leah Angelillo in "a true modern fairy tale" themed ceremony. According to People, the ceremony was attended by over 100 guests. Rev. Fr. Michael J. Calderin of St. Jude Ministries officiated the wedding.
"Tobias and I always envisioned having an intimate wedding weekend celebration with our closest family and friends," Angelillo said via PEOPLE. "We knew the resort would accommodate our out-of-town guests to enjoy the area while visiting for our wedding."
For the wedding, Tobias Myers wore a well-tailored chocolate-brown three-piece suit, consisting of a blazer, matching vest and trousers. He paired the suit with a crisp white dress shirt and a taupe-colored tie for a formal. A subtle boutonnière (small floral pin) was added to his blazer's lapel.
The bride, Leah Angelillo, wore a sleek and modern white satin wedding gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. She accessorized that with a simple gold bracelet and kept her makeup and hairstyle sophisticated. A long, sheer white veil cascaded down her back.
The Boca Raton was a dream spot to get wed for Tobias Myers and his wife Leah Angelillo
Leah Angelillo grew up in Florida and remembered visiting her "dream" wedding spot, The Boca Raton, in childhood.
"I always imagined myself getting married there one day, as the venue reminded me of a fairy tale, with its vintage-style castle aesthetic," Angelillo said.
The ceremony was held inside the luxury resort's main ballroom, "The Cathedral." Dalsimer Atlas Floral & Event Decorations handled the decorations for the event, much to the pleasure of the couple.
"The wedding aesthetic tastefully combines timeless romanticism and modern, chic themes with white roses and candlelight," Angelillo added.
Tobias Myers and Leah Angelillo first met at a local bar in South Florida during the 2019 offseason. Myers proposed Angelillo four years later, in Nov. 2023.
