In Photos: Bryce Harper shares sweet moments with wife Kayla & children at Citizens Park post Phillies' NL East title clinch
Bryce Harper had his family behind him when the Phillies clinched the NL East division for the first time since 2011 after beating the Chicago Cubs 6-2 on Monday. This was a wholesome moment for Harper, who signed a 13-year, $330 million contract with the Phillies in 2019.
The Phillies' first baseman is in search of his first World Series. This could be the year when he finally goes all the way to earn the biggest accolade to his Hall of Fame-worthy resume.
Harper's wife, Kayla, who was in attendance at Citizens Bank Park to see the Phillies win the division, shared snaps following the game. Harper's three kids were also present at the stadium. His first son Krew and newborn daughter Kamryn were in Phillies jackets with 'Harper' written behind them.
"October 🤝🏻 Baseball," Kayla wrote in caption.
Bryce Harper talks about balancing baseball life and fatherhood: "I just love my kids so much"
As much as Bryce Harper loves to be on the field contributing to his team, he dearly misses his children while on the road. Last year in the Little League World Series broadcast booth, the first baseman spoke about missing out on fatherhood moments to take the field.
"[My kids are] the light of my life, man. They make me happy every day. They thrill me every day. People don't understand, though, you get taken away from them a lot," Harper said.
"You get taken away from them a lot as they grow up...I'm missing them right now. As you guys know in the media, in professional sports, you're always on the road, always traveling, you miss their first steps, you miss the way they talk. I'm getting emotional. I just love my kids so much."
For Bryce Harper, his family means a lot to him and he often thanks having them support him after a good game.
Harper and Kayla met in high school. The couple got engaged in 2014 before tying the knot on December 16, 2016, in San Diego, California. The couple shares three children: a son (Krew) and two daughters (Brooklyn and Kamryn).
