Carlos Rodon and his wife Ashley, with the help of the Carlos Rodon Foundation and Next Egg Foundation, hosted the inaugural Willow Gala on Monday at Delamar Greenwich Harbor in Connecticut. The charity event aims to raise money and awareness for those seeking fertility treatments like IVF.
Rodon and the New York Yankees are fresh off completing their regular season campaign which saw them win the AL East division. They hope to win it all this season and Rodon will have a big role to play in helping them reach it.
On Monday, Ashley shared glimpses from the event named after their firstborn daughter Willow. The couple arrived with Carlos Rodon in a black suit, Willow in a white dress and Ashley in a light blue shade outfit.
Ashley also shared the auction items which included Yankees jerseys, signed baseballs and cleats, among others. The proceeds will be used to help finance aspiring parents. Columbia University Fertility partnered with the event.

Inspiration behind Willow Grant: An endeavor from personal experience of Carlos Rodon and Ashley
The couple had their fair share of challenges before they welcomed their first daughter Willow in 2019. The couple went through multiple miscarriages and reached the point where they started to explore other fertility options.
Among the many options, the best one was in-vitro fertilization treatment which is highly effective but expensive. The couple already had an appointment scheduled for it but they found out that Ashley conceived naturally.
However, their personal experience led them to start a foundation centered on helping parents who are having difficulty with conceiving. With the help of The Willow Grant, they help finance and educate aspiring families about IVF treatment and other pregnancy options.
“People deserve to have children,” said Ashley, via the New York Daily News in March. “The day that I held Willow for the first time was the best day of my life. So anytime somebody can’t do that naturally, and we’re able to use this amazing technology that was developed in the ‘70s and ‘80s to give them that, I think it’s important.”
The couple, who are now parents to three children (Willow, Bo and Silo), hopes to continue the Willow Gala yearly after the successful first event.
