In Photos: Corey Seager's wife Madisyn makes most out of Chicago trip during Rangers star's away series with White Sox
Corey Seager's wife, Madisyn, has joined her husband on the Texas Rangers' road trip to Chicago for a three-game series against the White Sox starting Tuesday. Madisyn went from Texas' 93°F hot weather to Chicago's 78°F temperature.
On Monday, upon arrival in Chicago, Madisyn and her husband went out to taste Ralph's Coffee before going out for a dinner date at a Japanese restaurant "Momotaro," which she rated 10/10. The next morning, she tasted fine cold foam cold brew coffee, which is nondairy sweet cream. She mentioned it has now become her primary everyday order.
At the moment, a postseason spot is a far-fetch story for the Rangers, who are 11 games below .500. After winning the World Series last year, reigning World Series MVP Corey Seager may have to sit at home this October.
Corey and Madisyn have known each other since their high school days. However, it wasn't until Seager was drafted that the couple became serious about their relationship.
On Dec. 7, 2019, Corey Seager proposed by getting down on one knee in Boston while attending a New England Patriots game. On Dec. 5, 2020, the pair exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony at Saddle Wood Farms in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, near Nashville.
Madisyn cheers as LA Dodgers fans welcome Corey Seager
Earlier in June, Corey Seager came back to Dodger Stadium as the Rangers were scheduled to play a three-game series against the LA Dodgers. Upon seeing their 2020 World Series MVP return, the fans gave a standing ovation to the left-handed hitter. Seager acknowledged the crowd's support by raising his hand.
Madisyn reposted it on her social media, sending an appreciation to Dodger fans.
“So sweet & special seeing Cores welcome back last night [white heart emoji],” Madisyn wrote in her story.
Like Madisyn, the Dodgers have been an integral part of Seager's journey. The club drafted him in the first round of the 2012 draft. He went on to make his debut in September 2015, and the following year, he was crowned the NL Rookie of the Year.
As his journey went along, Seager emerged as a hero in the 2020 World Series, where the LA Dodgers took down the ALCS winners, the Tampa Bay Rays.
