Despite missing a chunk of the campaign towards the end of the regular season, Corey Seager enjoyed a strong 2024 campaign. Seager managed to hit 30 home runs, despite playing only 123 out of 162 games.
With another grueling season over, the Texas Rangers' number two hitter is seems committed to spending more time with his wife, Madisyn, and their extended families. On the occasion of Thanksgiving, the couple headed back to their hometown of Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Madisyn Seager took to Instagram on Thursday to post a series of images from the Thanksgiving celebration, as the Seagers counted their blessings in the company of their loved ones.
"Thankful for a NC Thanksgiving 🤎🤎," Madisyn Seager captioned her Instagram post.
Corey Seager reportedly first crossed paths with his future wife when both were sutdents at the Northwest Cabarrus High school in the same city. The pair went on to maintain a long-distance relationship for a while, as life took them on different paths.
Corey got drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and Madisyn headed to East Carolina University to further her studies. The couple announced their engagement in December 2019, going on to tie the knot in 2020.
Corey Seager and wife Madisyn head to Mexico to celebrate Justin Turner's 40th birthday
Corey Seager and Justin Turner shared the locker room for seven seasons in their time with the Los Angeles Dodgers, before Seager moved on to the Texas Rangers.
Naturally, the pair have shared a great friendship since. It appears that also holds true for their spouses, as Corey's wife Madisyn and Justin's wife Kourtney also have a great bond.
On Wednesday, Madisyn Seager took to Instagram to post a series of snaps as the four met up to celebrate Justin Turner's 40th birthday in the picturesque Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
"Cabo files 🎞️ @court_with_a_k & @redturn2 know how to throw a party!! Happy 40th JT!! 🩵🌴☀️" Madisyn Seager captioned her story.
As far as the 2024 season goes, both Corey Seager and Justin Turner headed into an early offseason, as both the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners failed to qualify for October baseball.
Though ending the season on such a note will surely leave a sour taste in the mouth, the big leaguers can afford to take their mind away from baseball at the moment. A refreshed mind and body is needed when the grind of next season begins.
