In Photos: Francisco Lindor's wife Katia looks back at romantic moments with Mets superstar on his 31st birthday
New York Mets slugger Francisco Lindor had a great year. He played in 152 games, hitting .273/.344/.500 with 33 home runs and 91 runs batted in, helping his club reach the postseason.
Just days ago, he was awarded his second consecutive Silver Slugger award making it the fourth of his career. He was most recently named a finalist for the National League MVP award, although he has some stiff competition.
Lindor has had a great few days leading up to his 31st birthday, which he celebrated on Thursday. His wife, Katia, shared a special birthday message while showing off pictures of them over the years.
"Happy 31st birthday to the most wonderful husband, father, and all around human!" said Katia.
The couple have been married since late 2021, and as you can see, have made the most of their time together. They share two daughters, Kalina and Amapola who can be seen in the photos.
Francisco Lindor doing his part to recruit top free agent
Francisco Lindor is doing his best to bring in top talent this winter. He recently was spotted touching down in Southern California in preparation for a meeting with Juan Soto.
Soto and his agent, Scott Boras are set to meet with several teams over the next few weeks. Lindor has taken it upon himself to make sure he gives his club a fighting chance.
Bringing in Soto would greatly improve the Mets' roster going into next season. He is the best free agent by far on the open market and Steven Cohen is never afraid to shell out cash for big-time players. Soto could be the player to push the club over the hump they have been stuck on over the last few years.
