In Photos: Freddie Freeman & wife Chelsea celebrate firstborn son Charlie's 8th birthday decked out in Dodgers gear & big smiles
The Freeman family went through a tough ordeal after their son Max suffered a rare neurological disorder, Guillain-Barre syndrome, that saw him admitted to hospital during the last week of August.
However, Max is now in remission and is set to attain full recovery in time. Moments like birthdays become a good occasion to get back to being cheerful.
On Sunday, Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea's first son Charlie celebrated his eighth birthday with his parents and two siblings, Max and Brandon. In photos shared by Chelsea, the family posed together in Dodgers gear. In another, a special custom cake with "Game On" written on it was posted.
"Happy 8th Birthday to my first born 🥺," Chelsea wrote in her post's caption.
Just a few days ago, on Sept. 12., Chelsea also posted a birthday post for her partner's 35th birthday.
"Happy Birthday My Love!!! 🥳 @freddiefreeman #35" she wrote.
Brotherly bond on display between Freddie Freeman's three sons
Eight days after Max was first admitted in the Pediatric ICU, he was discharged as his brothers Charlie and Brandon came up to hospital to greet him after Max had gone through a terrible experience.
The duo first came to the hospital's lobby, where Max was seated on a couch. Brandon tried hugging his brother, while Charlie sat beside Max, sharing eye contact. Chelsea captured the moment and shared it on social media along with an update:
"Max still has a long road ahead of him to regain his strength and relearn how to walk. But we are so thankful to have our family back together. Thank you God for this miracle.
"Also, thank you to our incredible team of doctors and angel nurses for taking such good care of our boy. And to our village for helping so much with Charlie and Brandon."
Freddie Freeman is rest assured that even in his absence while on road trips to games outside LA, his two sons will help Chelsea in every way possible.
