New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole had a disappointing finish to the season as the 2023 Cy Young winner's team lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Fall Classic after five games.
Following an injury-riddled season for the Bronx Bombers that saw him miss most of the early season, the veteran pitcher is spending time with his family and friends in the offseason.
Gerrit and his wife Amy joined her brother and former San Francisco Giants infielder Brandon Crawford's family for a holiday-filled get-together. Amy shared pictures of their heartwarming moments on Instagram.
One of the pictures captured an adorable moment between Gerrit Cole's two and Brandon Crawford's five children. The latest story from Amy had their youngest son, Everett being embraced by Brandon and Jaylnne's daughter. They also posed together for a picture with their children and other family members.
Gerrit Cole and Amy reportedly met at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While Cole was part of the UCLA Bruins's baseball team, Amy represented the softball team.
Gerrit made his MLB debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2013, while he was dating Amy and three years later the duo tied the knot.
The All-Star pitcher signed a nine-year, $324 million contract with the Yankees in December 2019 and welcomed his first child, son Caden, seven months later in June 2020. They welcomed their second son, Everett, in January last year amid Gerrit's AL Cy Young winning campaign.

As the two-time World Series winner announced his decision, Amy shared a heartwarming note with picture a of them growing up as Giants fans.
"From t-ball and backyard games to chasing big-league dreams, it's been an honor to watch you play the game you love. Proud of you, @therealbcraw35- congrats on an incredible career!" Amy captioned her post.
Gerrit Cole will lead the Yankees rotation in 2025 after rescinding his opt-out earlier this month. Cole had initially opted out of his contract seeking an additional year to his remaining four years.
