While Jackson Holliday and the Baltimore Orioles play a four-game series at Citi Field against the New York Mets, his wife Chloe and her girl gang are having a wonderful time in the Big Apple. On Tuesday, Chloe and her friends took a carriage in Central Park and enjoyed burgers during the ride.
Joining Chloe were Holliday's teammate Jordan Westburg's wife Anna Claire, Grayson Rodriguez's wife Madison Freeland and Ryan Mountcastle's wife Taylor Scalora.
"Burgers & a nighttime carriage ride through Central Park," Anna wrote in her caption on Instagram.
Meanwhile, on the field, Holliday & Co. split the series on Tuesday with a dominating 9-5 victory. They lost the first game of the series 4-3.
The series is crucial for both the New York Mets and the Baltimore Orioles. While the Orioles look to stake their claim on AL East over the New York Yankees, the Mets are fighting to claim a wild card spot. The third game of the series is scheduled for Wednesday.
Jackson Holliday sorts his swing upon Chloe's remark
Jackson Holliday has previously endured much criticism in the majors. In April, the Baltimore Orioles top prospect and their 2022 first overall pick made his debut and 10 games in, he was just 2-for-34, prompting the Orioles to send him back to the minors.
However, after his return on July 31, he has proved his hitting at the biggest stage. Since the MLB All-Star break, he has been hitting .258 with 17 hits, five home runs and 15 RBIs in 18 games.
During an appearance on "Foul Territory," the infielder discussed his change in swing, attributing it to his wife, Chloe, who spotted something usual in his swing and pointed it out to him.
"Chloe usually watches me train, trying to figure everything out. She once told me it (my swing) looked a bit different," Holliday said (25:12). "She's the best. Just having her watch me practice helped me know I need to sort out my swing."
Things seem to have worked out, as Holliday seems to have found his footing in the majors.
