Jackson Holliday, the Baltimore Orioles' No. 1 prospect, made his way back to the Major Leagues in Wednesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. To celebrate Jackson's return to the big club, his wife Chloe wore a white No. 7 T-shirt -- Jackson's number -- along with orange sneakers to match the team colors.
Chloe, who was in attendance to cheer on his husband at Oriole Park, posted her Instagram story showcasing her outfit for the day.
Jackson and Chloe both attended Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and dated for several years. They were engaged in 2022 in Mexico and got married in January 2024.
Jackson Holliday, the son of former major leaguer Matt Holliday, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft and received an $8.16 million signing bonus. After a brief stint in the majors earlier in April, Jackson was sent on assignment as he went 2 for 34 in 10 games.
Holliday had an average of .271, crushed 10 home runs, had 38 RBIs, and had a healthy .908 OPS during his stint in the minors.
Jackson Holliday was ecstatic after hitting his first big league career grand slam
After faltering in his first stint at Baltimore, Jackson Holliday was called up from the Norfolk Tides for a second stint and ended up enthralling the fans inside Oriole Park on his return.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Holliday hit his first career home run, a grand slam, to extend the Orioles' lead to 9-3. They eventually won the game against their divisional opponents, 10-4.
In an exclusive interview with MASN after the game, Holliday reflected on his historic grand slam as he said:
"To be able to come back up here and hit a grand slam and help the team win, I can't imagine anything better."
Further reflecting on his minor league stint in 2024 and how it helped him to improve his playing style, Holliday said:
"To get that experience, it was definitely beneficial for me."
With the injury to All-Star infielder Jordan Westburg, Jackson will look to become a regular starter for Orioles manager Brandon Hyde for the remainder of the season.
