In Photos: Jake Fraley bonds with son Jayce during batting practice ahead of Reds vs. Cubs clash at Great American Ballpark
Cincinnati Reds right fielder Jake Fraley spent some quality time with his son Jayce during the batting practice session ahead of the series finale between the Reds and the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ballpark on Sunday. Jake's wife, Angelica Fraley, caught the father-son duo taking some batting practice in front of the center field stands and at home plate.
Besides Jayce, Jake Fraley also threw some balls to his daughter Avery, who is fighting a battle with leukemia, though her tests earlier this year in January detected no more cancer in her bone marrow. Angelica Fraley captured all the beautiful moments and captioned various images on her Instagram story as follows:
"Everyone needs a friend that hypes you up like this. He [Fraley] started throwing them out for her [Avery] and it was the sweetest thing."
"His [Jayce] fave every year"
"Crown the man haha"
"Also s/o to @jordyn pagan bc she's just the best"
Take a look at heartfelt moments shared between Jake Fraley and his son, Jayce, and his daughter Avery:
Fraley is in his third full season with the Cincinnati Reds, and everything is not going as planned, as he has struggled so far in 2024. He has a batting average of .288, with one home run, nine RBIs, and a miserly .709 OPS. But despite his struggles, he receives massive support from his peers and family members.

Jake Fraley married his longtime girlfriend Angelica Caceres in a beautiful wedding affair in Miami, Lorida, on October 28, 2016. The couple is a happy family of four, with his elder son Jayce and his five-year-old sister Avery. In April 2024, Angelica shared an image of her son, who is fond of playing baseball, on her Instagram story with the caption:
"Someone's ready to start his season too"
Fraley likes to spend most of his free time with his family, as he is very close to both his kids and wife. Jayce has certainly caught the love of baseball from his father, and he may just follow in Jake's footsteps in the big leagues.
