Jose Altuve and wife Neena involved in numerous charity works
Neena, along with her husband Jose Altuve, has been involved in many charitable activities. Discussing their charity work, Altuve said to MLB:
“It feels good to help people, honestly. My family and I, we do a bunch of things back home in Venezuela, but we also do things here in Houston. Just the fact that you’re doing something to impact peoples’ lives, to make some changes in a good way for people, it makes me feel thankful and happy.”
In 2020, the couple donated 60,000 meals in partnership with the Astros Foundation to a charity that provides free meals to preschool-aged children in the city. In 2022, they also hosted the second Uncork for a Cause charity wine event, which raised money for the Astros Foundation.
Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve is coming off a solid 2024 season. He finished the year with a .295 batting average, 20 homers, 65 RBIs, and a .790 OPS.
Altuve has spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Astros, and earlier this year, in February, he signed a five-year, $125 million contract extension with Houston.
