In Photos: Kike Hernandez's better half Mariana & other wives enjoy "uninterrupted girl time" during fun-filled weekend getaway
Dodgers utility man Kike Hernandez helped the team win Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Off the field, his wife Mariana Vicente planned a weekend getaway for all "mamas" at Palm Desert, California.
Joining Marina on the trip were former Dodgers player Joc Pederson's wife Kelsey, Ross Stripling's wife Shelby, Austin Barnes' wife Nicole and Alex Wood's wife Suzanna. The group of five hung together on their getaway, with Nicole calling it "girl time."
"Uninterrupted girl time, & talking about your babies all weekend long >> thanks @marianavicente for planning the best mamas getaway," Nicole wrote in the caption of her post.
Nicole also shared photos from their trip. The group seemingly enjoyed delicious meals and pool time on their getaway.
How did Kike Hernandez and Puerto Rican model Mariana Vicente meet?
Kike Hernandez first got to know about Mariana Vicente when he watched her movie "Hot Tub Time Machine 2" in 2015. Soon, he looked her up online and sent a message through social media.
“He found me on social media and sent a message congratulating me on my performance,” Vicente said via Inside Weddings.
A few months later, the couple agreed to meet for lunch. The couple started dating each other after six months of friendship.
After a few years of dating, Hernandez decided to surprise his better half with a proposal. He took her on vacation in Big Sur, where Hernandez had made reservations and had the room decorated. Vicente, who was unaware of any of it, was shocked to find Hernandez on one knee, asking for her hand.
“I turned around and he was on one knee,” Vicente recalled. “Also, I got it all on that Snapchat video… which I deleted by mistake.”
Six years ago, the couple married in December 2018 in a Caribbean outdoor ceremony.
Many of Hernandez's teammates attended the wedding, including Kyle Farmer, Austin Barnes, Corey Seager, Chris Taylor, Yasiel Puig and Alex Wood, among others.
On Jan. 15, 2021, the couple welcomed their daughter, Penelope Isabel Hernandez.
