Padres second baseman Luis Arraez and his wife Gladys Penalver embraced the holiday spirit alongside their three children at home in Miami, Florida. The family donned coordinating red outfits in a festive photoshoot set against a beautifully decorated backdrop featuring Christmas trees, snow and shimmering lights.
Gladys shared a series of images from the shoot on social media, accompanied by a Spanish caption that translates to:
"December 1st, the most beautiful month of the year. I wish for my family and friends love, serenity in our homes and may God shower us with many blessings."
Luis Arraez and Gladys Penalver have been together for more than seven years. Both hail from Venezuela and were married in 2016. Penalver, a self-styled fashion model with over 50,000 social media followers, frequently shares her personal style and family moments with fans.
The couple are proud parents to three daughters. Their eldest, Emma Luisana, was born on Nov. 22, 2017, followed by Esther on Nov. 20, 2019. Their youngest daughter arrived in December 2023.
The family resides in Miami, where Arraez played for the Marlins in 2023 before being traded to the Padres in 2024.
Luis Arraez secured his third consecutive National League batting title in 2024, finishing the season with a .314 batting average, four home runs, 46 RBIs and a .739 OPS.
While it was a relatively subpar season by his standards, he delivered key hits for the Padres towards the end of the regular season and will hope to make a better impact in his first full season in San Diego in 2025.

The Arraez family recently celebrated Emma and Esther's birthdays, which fall on Nov. 22 and Nov. 20, respectively. Penalver posted images from the celebrations on social media, writing in Spanish:
