Trout said:

"Little brother is here! Beckham's sidekick has arrived. You fill our hearts with so much joy, Jordy Michael. God is so good."

He also revealed that the baby was born at eight pounds and two ounces and was 21 inches long. They have largely remained otherwise silent on the birth of the child. They did give some information leading up to the birth in the form of other social media posts, but this is the only official statement they have given so far.

Mike Trout slowly recovering from injury

Mike Trout and his wife Jessica will be and have been recovering from different things. For Jessica, she is recovering from childbirth, while the star center fielder continues to recover from knee surgery, as he tries to make his way back to the field with the Los Angeles Angels.

The latest update was that he was recovering rather well and that he might be able to return by the end of the month. The Angels' season has been a disappointing one, as they are currently second to last in the AL West.

Mike Trout just had the surgery in May, which explains why he is not back yet. Nevertheless, he is nearing a return. As for the future, his situation is an interesting one.

Once he is healthy, he will be a trade candidate unless he is still on IL by July 30. The Angels are expected to trade everyone they can to overhaul their farm system, and Trout is just about the only player they have that might warrant a worthy return.

Things have not gone according to plan for the Angels since they went all-in at the deadline last year to try and convince Shohei Ohtani to stay. There have been rumors swirling around a Trout trade, and this might be the year it happens if they can get a good enough return.
