The Los Angeles Dodgers invited children ages 6 to 14 for the Kids Take the Field ahead of Sunday's series finale against the Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium. However, there was a surprise guest among the children for the special event.

During the event, children interact with a Dodger starter on the field before getting a signed baseball. Former MVP and Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts was surprised after his daughter Kynlee ran onto the field.

Betts embraced her daughter and signed a baseball for her before posing for a picture. He had an adorable reaction to his daughter running up to him before the game.

"You are a cute girl. Let me sign it. Did you have fun with mommy so far? Come on let's take a picture. I love you," Betts was heard in the adorable video posted by Dodgers on Instagram.

Kynlee's appearance at Dodger Stadium for Sunday's clash seemingly brought luck for the former Boston Red Sox star as he played a crucial role in his team's come-from-behind win.

While trailing the Rockies 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth, Betts' teammate Shohei Ohtani struck the game-tying home run, his 53rd of the season. Dodgers went back to back as Betts gave a thrilling win for the team with a walk-off home run in the next at-bat.

Mookie Betts put the win in the context of the NL West race, with division rivals San Diego Padres hot on their trail.

“It was huge,” Betts said, according to MLB.com's Juan Toribio. “Especially when you’re looking at the scoreboard and you see San Diego won. … Shohei starts it off with a homer there to give us some energy and fortunately, I was able to put a good swing on it.”

The Dodgers hold a three-game lead over the Padres in the NL West and the pennant race is set up nicely as the two teams will go head to head in a three-game series at Dodger Stadium starting on Tuesday.
