Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani uses New Balance's gear on the field and has also been the face of the brand since signing with them in 2023. Earlier in March, New Balance and Ohtani collaborated on his own logo for his signature line.

On Tuesday, New Balance unveiled the Shohei Ohtani Signature collection, which included apparel and cleats. Custom baseball cleats, hoodies, T-shirts and baseball gear all had the new Ohtani logo on it. Also, the footwear giant announced that the collection will be launched globally on July 15.

"A closer look at the Shohei Ohtani Signature Collection. Launching globally on July 15," the caption of New Balance's post said.

“Since joining forces with New Balance, Shohei Ohtani has been nothing short of incredible to work with both on and off the diamond. We have collaborated with Shohei on charitable endeavors in Japan, global brand storytelling, product and a lot more still to come,” said Chris Davis, New Balance Chief Marketing Officers and SVP of Merchandising. Shohei Ohtani's new custom New Balance logo is a "visual representation" of his journey

New Balance released the new logo for Ohtani before the Dodgers-Padres clash in Seoul. The logo features Ohtani rounding the first base. This will be used on all future projects and collections under the Ohtani-New Balance collabs.

At the press conference following the release, Ohtani was elated to share about the development.

"To finally reveal this special logo that I’ve worked closely on is truly an exciting moment for me," Ohtani said. “It is a visual representation of my journey in baseball and I am excited to share it with the world. I also look forward to using this logo with future projects that we will reveal throughout the 2024 season."

On the baseball front, Ohtani is onto another excellent season, leading the Dodgers from the front and securing MVP cheers already. He is hitting .314, along with the NL-leading 28 homers, 65 RBIs and 20 stolen bases.

Also, this could very well be the year when the two-time AL MVP finally gets a good taste of the postseason with a team that looks like a favorite on paper to reach the World Series.
