In Photos: Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne cheers on alma mater at Paris Olympics 2024
While Paul Skenes is currently in Arizona for the Pittsburgh Pirates series against the Diamondbacks, his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne is living her best life. While not competing, she is in Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
She was in attendance for Team USA's beach volleyball matchup, and her seats were incredible. The Eiffel Tower sits right next to the beach volleyball court, making for a breathtaking display.
She shared her view with her 5.3 million followers on Instagram with the caption that shouted out her alma mater, LSU:
"Go USA! & Geaux Tigers!"
The US women's beach volleyball duo of Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss also went to LSU, and Dunne was showing them some support. They won their Pool B game against Canada in straight sets, 21-17, 21-14.
Dunne also showed off her fit for Day 1, going with a beautiful black dress.
Olivia Dunne could be back cheering for Paul Skenes at the 2028 Olympics
Unfortunately, baseball did not make the cut for the 2024 Olympics, but it will return for the 2028 Olympics. It should be an exciting event, as the last one was held in Tokyo in 2021.
If he continues to develop as he has been, it would be hard to deny Paul Skenes a spot on Team USA's roster. Many would not be surprised if the Pirates' flamethrower operated as the ace a few years from now.
The 2028 Olympics are scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, so Olivia Dunne would not have to travel far to root on her boyfriend. However, she certainly has the talent to be an Olympian herself.
Dunne decided to forgo her Olympic dreams after fracturing her ankle when she was 15-16 years old. She wanted to focus on her college career and health, but being in Tokyo could motivate her to pursue glory.
