In Photos: Paul Skenes treats girlfriend Olivia Dunne to intimate dinner on her 22nd birthday
Paul Skenes was in Baton Rouge to celebrate his girlfriend Olivia Dunne's 22nd birthday on Tuesday. The social media star has received wishes from many celebrities on her birthday, but none would beat an intimate dinner with her beau.
Skenes, who finished off his stellar rookie year, is looking forward to a relaxing postseason while waiting to get his name called up for the NL Rookie of the Year. He went 11-3 and posted a 1.96 ERA with the Pittsburgh Pirates, who picked him first overall last year.
On Tuesday, Olivia Dunne shared glimpses from her birthday celebration. That included the Pirates rookie picking her up in a car and going to French Market Bistro in Baton Rouge for an intimate dinner and joined by their pup Roux. Dunne shared a couple of pieces they had at the restaurant.
Apart from a special dinner, Olivia Dunne also shared receiving an elite bathroom decor gift from her sister, Julz Dunne. It had Dunne's photos with her pup Roux. Topps also send over a gift, a "Happy Birthday Liv" card that had her photo with Roux.
Paul Skenes' special birthday post for Olivia Dunne
While Olivia Dunne is highly active on social media, Paul Skenes doesn't share much. But on the occasion of the social media star's birthday, he shared a special post for her.
The rookie shared a series of photos on Oct. 1.
"Happy Birthday Liv," Skenes wrote.
The first image had Dunne and Skenes embracing a moment ahead of his final regular season game against the New York Yankees.
Next up was a photo of the pitcher attending Dunne's gymnastics meet. The third was from Paul Skenes' All-Star game red carpet appearance alongside Dunne. And finally, he caught Dunne taking a nap beside Roux.
Olivia Dunne was there for Paul Skenes throughout the year, attending most of his games at PNC Park, especially his MLB debut in May against the Chicago Cubs.
Now that Skenes' season is over, Dunne will have more time to prepare for her fifth and final year with the LSU Tigers' gymnastics team.
