Shohei Ohtani pulled out a prank on his manager and gifted him toy Porsche

Among the many records Ohtani broke this season, one was previously led by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts for having the most home runs by a Japanese-born player for the LA Dodgers.

Just when Ohtani was on the cusp of the record, he entered Roberts' office and said that he would gift him a Porsche when he surpasses him.

Ohtani registered his eighth home run against the Atlanta Braves and broke the franchise record in just 34 games into the season. Roberts, who was expecting a Porsche, got one but a miniature one, as Ohtani gifted him a toy Porsche.

“He said he wanted a car,” Ohtani said through translator Will Ireton. “I’m glad he’s happy. He got a car.”

Surely, Ohtani pulled one over his skipper.

Shohei Ohtani has been in the news for gifting Porsche earlier during the offseason. He gifted Porsche to his Dodgers teammate Joe Kell's wife Ashley after she carried out the "OhtaniTake17" campaign on social media.

Previously, the No. 17 jersey was used by Kelly, who then happily waived his rights after Shohei Ohtani was signed to a 10-year contract. $700 million deal.
