In Pictures: Devin Williams' girlfriend Maggie Badock looks back on "2 weeks in New York City" in light of 2x All-Star's move from Brewers to Yankees

Devin Williams and his girlfriend Maggie Badock spent a vacation in New York City this fall. Perhaps the tourist capital of the United States, the relief pitcher and his girlfriend stayed there for two weeks.

On Monday, Badock dropped a throwback photo dump of the trip, reminiscing about their time there as they begin packing their bags to live there. She captioned it:

"That time we spent two weeks in NYC this fall and then fate said we should live here."

The New York Yankees swung a blockbuster trade for the two-time All-Star. The former Milwaukee Brewers closer was a free agent after this season, and the Yankees swooped in to grab him.

In return, they sent Nestor Cortes Jr. and Caleb Durbin to the Brewers. Last offseason, the Brewers traded Corbin Burnes to a different AL East team (the Baltimore Orioles) and still won the division. It remains to be seen if they'll follow the exact same path in the 2025 season.

They also lost their manager Craig Counsell to the Chicago Cubs, but incoming manager Pat Murphy won the NL Manager of the Year award in his place.

After missing out on Juan Soto, the Yankees got aggressive. They signed Max Fried to an eight-year contract and then made the blockbuster move to snag Devin Williams away from the Milwaukee Brewers.

In doing so, they are bringing both Williams and his girlfriend Maggie Badock to the Big Apple. In a since-expired Instagram story, Badock reflected on the change:

"Nyc dreams coming true, but bitter sweet to say bye to the brewers after many years with the org! So grateful for the time we've had in MKE, so much love forever."

Williams had not played for any other team aside from the Brewers and was a two-time All-Star. He was one of the most dominant closers over the last few seasons (though he first started out as the setup man for Josh Hader), and now he has the chance to shine under the brightest lights in the sport.
