Jackson Holliday reacts as brother Ethan Holliday shows off golf skills in off-season fun

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday and his younger brother Ethan Holliday showcased some golf skills in off-season fun on Saturday. While Jackson was the first overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft, Ethan is trying to follow suit by becoming the potential No. 1 pick himself in the MLB draft next year.

Both are sons of former Cardinals ace Matt Holliday who spent 15 years in the big leagues, winning the World Series in 2011, four Silver Slugger awards and seven All-Star nods.

Jackson enjoyed a fun-filled day alongside Ethan and could be heard directing hilarious comments towards his younger brother. He said:

"It's for the brown. Boy, pants up, stretch the back out a little. Chuck it! Hit it straight up," Holliday told Ethan.

Ethan has committed to play college baseball with the OSU Cowboys but if he gets drafted as one of the higher picks in 2025, then he may prefer to play in the majors/minors.

He will not be the first Holliday to turn down playing for a D1 baseball team for an MLB ballclub as Jackson did the same in 2022. The Orioles had chosen him as the first overall pick straight out of Stillwater High School in Oklahoma and gave him a $8.19 million signing bonus.

As far as Ethan Holliday's scouting report goes, despite being slightly inconsistent in the summer showcase circuit, he has provided enough glimpses to make a strong case for himself in the 2025 MLB draft.

Just like his brother Jackson Holliday, Ethan also likes playing in the infield, preferably at the shortstop position. While being highly energetic in defense, the lefty slugger possesses brute strength to crush the baseball every now and then.

On the back of a wealth of big-league experience, Matt Holliday has been training his sons since their childhood days. In December 2023, in an exhibition event, Matt alongside his sons Jackson Holliday and Ethan Holliday were seen crushing the baseball into the night sky with relative ease.

The trio easily cleared the stands on multiple occasions during the training session.
