Jackson Holliday’s sister Gracyn Ivy & her cheerleader squad steal the show in matching pink outfits

Growing up in Oklahoma, athletics were a way of life for Jackson Holliday and his three siblings. Raised by an esteemed MLB player, the Holliday kids keep sport and activity central to their identities as adolescents and young adults.

Among the siblings is the third-oldest, Gracyn, born in 2009. Currently a student at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the 14-year-old took to her Instagram to show off the pink outfits used by herself and her counterparts on the school's cheerleading team.

The only daughter of Matt Holliday and his wife Leslee, Gracyn, described the color-coded style decision as a "Pink Out". The 14-year-old also posted an image of her in front of a mirror with her pink-clad cheerleading pals.

Gracyn's older brother, Jackson Holliday, was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the 2022 MLB Entry Draft and continues to play there. Her other brother, Ethan, is expected to attract considerable interest at the draft next year, while her 11-year-old brother Reed is showing promise in the sport.

Matt Holliday is the patriarch of the family. A 1998 Colorado Rockies draft pick, the outfielder did not make his MLB debut until 2004, when he suited up for the Cardinals. Over the course of his 15-year career, Matt Holliday collected seven All-Star nods, four Silver Sluggers, a Batting Title, and the 2011 World Series as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jackson Holliday's family turns to each other for support

Last month, when Jackson logged his first career four-hit game for the O's, his first phone call came from his brother Ethan. As the 17-year-old claimed to USA Today about his brother:

“I didn’t even wait for the game to end, that was just so cool to see that. I mean, my brother and I were inseparable growing up. We’re best friends. I talk to him four or five days a week. I don’t think that will ever change."

As the Holliday kids embark on their own paths forward, the focus on athleticism and personal improvement instilled by their father remains. As for Gracyn, her athletic career has yet to take off, although her brothers have certainly set a high standard.
