Jackson Holliday's wife Chloe celebrates husband's dominant outing that propelled Orioles' win over Guardians
The Baltimore Orioles completed back-to-back wins against the Cleveland Guardians after Jackson Holliday's offensive masterclass. The consecutive wins on Sunday split the four-game series against the top MLB team.
The Orioles surged to a 3-0 lead after a two-run third inning, however, the Guardians rallied for two runs in the bottom third to reduce the deficit to just one. Holliday registered the second home run of his MLB career, a solo shot in the top of the fourth, to restore a two-run lead for the Orioles.
Holliday's wife, Chloe, celebrated the Orioles rookie's dominant at-bats on Sunday with an Instagram story. She reshared a post from the Orioles' official Instagram handle with the caption:
"I'ma spend the Holliday locked in."
The high school sweethearts got engaged on a trip to Mexico in 2022 and tied the knot a couple of years later, before Holliday's major league debut for the Orioles in 2024.
Jackson Holliday enjoying the opportunity with Orioles in his second stint
Jackson Holliday registered two hits during his four at-bats on Sunday, stretching his hitting streak to three games. The Orioles rookie drove in a run in all three games.
MLB Pipeline’s No. 1 overall prospect is having a contrasting start to his second stint in the major league after a disastrous first stint earlier this year. He has been an influential presence at the plate and registered a grand slam for the first home run of his MLB career last week.
Talking about his mindset and positive attitude in his second stint with the Orioles, Holliday said having fun and enjoying the opportunity in the diamond was key to his performances.
“I think definitely just having my feet under me [helps],” Holliday explained earlier in the weekend. “Being able to come to the ballpark and have a normal schedule. And just being able to go out there and play, have fun and kind of put everything else to the side ... just enjoy being out there.”
Holliday's solo homer in the fourth was followed by another talented Orioles rookie, Colton Cowser, extending his hitting streak to 17 games, tying the record for the longest hitting streak by a Baltimore rookie.
