Jackson Holliday's wife Chloe embraces 'slow days' back at home post Orioles' early playoff exit
Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday has returned home to Oklahoma with his wife Chloe after a disappointing end to his rookie season in the major leagues. While the Orioles were neck-to-neck with the New York Yankees for much of the MLB regular season, they eventually finished second in their division.
They then faced the Kansas City Royals in the AL Wild Card series, where they were swept in straight games to end their postseason run. After their early playoff exit, Holliday has now headed back home with his wife Chloe, who shared a picture of their "slow days" with the caption:
"Back home to slow days & Oklahoma skies."
A native of Austin, Texas, Jackson Holliday attended high school in Stillwater Oklahoma where he started playing baseball seriously.
He then went on to play college ball at Oklahoma State University and entered his senior year as one of the top prospacts in the country. Holliday was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2022 MLB Draft and was promoted to the major leagues earlier this year.
In his rookie season in the majors, he recorded some decent numbers and ended the year with a .189 average, 23 RBI and five home runs. Despite being consistent over the course of the year, the Orioles couldn't replicate their form in the postseason, which resulted in an early exit for them.
However, Holliday and the Orioles have plenty of positives to look back on and come back stronger next season. Until then, the 20-year-old is happy to be enjoying the offseason with his family.
Jackson Holliday's wife Chloe continues to share updates on their dog's offseason adventures
Jackson Holliday's wife Chloe has a strong presence on social media and has used that to document their dog Coconut and his daily life. After sharing a video of the pup enjoying himself at a baseball ground, Chole shared another video of Coconut enjoying the pool:
"Coconut is obsessed with the pool. Can't keep him out of it," wrote Chloe.
Chloe and Jackson met while attending high school in Stillwater, Oklahoma and soon started dating at a young age, going strong since then.
The Baltimore Orioles then proposed to Chloe in December 2022 after his first season in the minors when the couple were on a trip to Mexico. They got married in January earlier this year and are enjoying their first offseason after making it to the MLB.
