"Joe couldn’t wait to spend time with his girl" - Joe Kelly's wife Ashley melts hearts with adorable 'Daddy-Blakey date' in Dodgers Clubhouse

Dodgers relief pitcher Joe Kelly's wife, Ashley Parks, shared some cute father-daughter moments on Sunday. Kelly has been on the IL for almost two months since last pitching in the league in May.

He was initially put on a 15-day IL due to a right posterior shoulder injury, but the veteran relief pitcher has since found it difficult to complete his rehab quickly. Despite going through a frustrating spell this campaign, Joe took time out to go on a little father-daughter date in the LAD Clubhouse. Ashley shared the video on Instagram with the caption:

"“Daddy-Blakey Date” in the Dodgers Clubhouse was sooooo SPECIAL This organization never fails to show the families why they are the best in the business. Thank you @dodgers for creating these core memories for our family.
"Joe couldn’t wait to spend time with his girl & show her his work place! Blake was smiling from ear to ear throughout the whole experience. This. Was. EVERYTHING! #GirlDad #DodgersDaddyDaughterDay"

Joe met Ashley on the ground of the University of California, Riverside, soon after which they started dating. She's the daughter of former Minnesota Twins backstop Derek Parks. Besides majoring in sociology, visual culture and film, she was also a D1 soccer player for UCR.

The duo exchanged vows in a beautiful wedding in November 2013. The couple has four kids - Knox, Kai, Crue and Blake. Knox is the eldest, while Kai is the youngest, having been born last year.

The entire family is highly supportive of Joe for his endeavors inside the diamond and are present for most of his gamedays. The Kellys were also present at Dodger Stadium in June to watch Knox throw the ceremonial pitch.
