Joe Kelly keeps his word, gets matching baseball tattoo with Dodger fan post 2024 World Series victory
Before the World Series, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly committed to a wild ask. Baseball Isn't Boring host, Rob Bradford asked if they won the World Series, would Kelly get matching tattoos of his company's logo.
Kelly accepted, but on one condition. It had to be Mister Cartoon doing the tattoo. Mister Cartoon or Mark Machado is a well-accomplished American tattoo artist based in Los Angeles.
The Dodgers went on to win the World Series and Mister Cartoon was more than happy to do the tattoos. It turned out great as the work was posted on Instagram, via Matt Carrillo.
"Joe Kelly and Mister Cartoon's World Series 'Baseball Isn't Boring' tattoo. What a legendary collab"
Kelly chose to place it on his inner bicep. This looks to be the pitcher's first tattoo on his left arm, while he does have a few others elsewhere.
Joe Kelly is not ready to hang up the cleats
While Joe Kelly won a World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers this past season, he was not used much. The hard-throwing righty was dealing with a right shoulder injury that cost him the back end of his season.
Kelly's last appearance came in September, and he was not used at all in the postseason. He was expected to be activated for Game 6 of the World series, but the Dodgers made quick work of the New York Yankees.
Kelly is now a free agent, and there were some speculations that he would end his career. However, that is not the case as the free-agent pitcher is looking forward to the upcoming season.
It will be interesting to see who talks to Kelly's camp. When healthy, he is a dependable arm coming out of the bullpen and can be used in high-leverage situations.
