Juan Soto turns heads with stylish 'Pelle Pelle' jacket amid free agency buzz hinting record-breaking deal

With the curtain falling on another baseball season, a huge offseason lies in store for New York Yankees superstar Juan Soto. The 26-year-old will look to kick back and get some much-needed rest before eventually making a key decision on where he plans to play in the 2025 season.

On Saturday, Soto took to Instagram to post a picture sporting a stylish white jacket from famous fashion brand 'Pelle Pelle.' The Dominican paired it with black cargo pants, completing the fit perfectly with a pair of matching sneakers.

Pelle Pelle, established in Detroit by Marc Buchanan, was a hit amongst hip-hop and breakdance artists when it originally came out in 1978. Eventually, as some of the most popular music artists in the world, such as 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and Usher were seen sporting their clothing, the brand grew enormously in popularity.

Juan Soto keeps options open heading into free agency

Even though things ultimately ended in disappointment as the New York Yankees lost out to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, Soto's 2024 season was superb.

The 26-year-old batted .288, hitting 41 home runs and 109 RBIs. The Dominican also showed he has what it takes to succeed in important playoff games, as he batted .327, with four home runs and nine RBIs in the 2024 postseason.

Soto's future has been a huge talking point for pretty much the entirety of the past campaign. As of now, however, Soto has said that he and agent Scott Boras are still very much keeping all their options open.

"I don't know what are the teams that want to come after me, but definitely, I'll be open to listen to every single team," Soto said. "I don't have any doors closed or anything like that, I'll be available for all 30 teams."

With Soto's performances in the 2024 season, and his agent Scott Boras' knack for getting the best possible contract, any team that decides to try and recruit the Dominican will need a bumper offer.

With the Yankees having ended the season on a hugely disappointing note, they will need to ensure they bring in good players while keeping the ones they already have.

Fans will be hoping that the organization is able to put a suitable offer on the table that ensures one of the planet's best hitters stays at Yankee Stadium for a long time.
