Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Diego Padres NLDS Game 4 Player Stats and Box Scores for October 9

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres continued their NLDS battle at Petco Park on Wednesday. After an entertaining Game 3 that saw the Padres take a 2-1 series lead, it was the Boys in Blue who struck first in Game 4.

Dave Roberts sent Ryan Brasier to the mound as their starter, while the Padres had Dylan Cease. Mookie Betts went deep to get his team on the board with a 1-0 score in the first inning.

Shohei Ohtani stepped in and smashed an RBI, while Betts continued his hot-hitting to give their team an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Will Smith's two-run shot just gave them more chances of reaching Game 5.

The Padres' pitching was a disaster as they gave up yet another run to their opponent. To make matters worse, Gavin Lux went deep to smash a two-run home run, giving them an 8-0 lead.

The Padres got on base a couple of times, yet they couldn't score as pitching dominated throughout the game. Los Angeles had a strong bullpen game and will head back to Dodger Stadium for Game 5.

Betts went deep to center with a 99 mph ball against Cease. Will Smith also recorded his first two-run blast to extend the lead to five as the Dodgers look to even up the series.

Gavin Lux got a hold of Wandy Peralta with a two-run blast at the top of the seventh. Lux smashed the ball with an exit velocity of 108 MPH.

The Padres offense was shut down, and there was no match for the Boys in Blue. Roberts had eight pitchers in the game and triumphed as they go to Game 5. The Padres will have a disadvantage at Dodger Stadium with the crowd against them. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is predicted to start next.
