"Love to see it" - Josh Hader's wife Maria reacts to husband's impressive slide shot during Astros vs. Rangers clash
Josh Hader's wife Maria was appreciative of the pitcher as she shared a slide shot from the clash between the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park. Hader was called upon by manager Joe Espada to defend a three-run lead going into the bottom of the ninth.
Hader started the inning with two back-to-back strikeouts, punching out Rangers' catcher Jonah Heim and pinch hitter Derek Hill. Robbie Grossman was fouled out at first as the Astros clinched a 6-3 victory. Maria shared that Hader struck out Heim in a picture frame snapshot on her story.
"Love to see it," Maria wrote in her story.
After the game, Hader and his son Lucas were snapped sitting on the field of Minute Maid Park, enjoying the post-game event.
Following a disastrous start to the season, Josh Hader seems to be getting back to his previous best and it has reflected in the Astros record, who are now 50-44 and trailing the Seattle Mariners for the AL West lead.
Hader has registered 18 saves, going 3-5 and posting a 3.86 ERA to go along with 67 Ks in 42.0 innings pitched.
"Mini Bregman and Hader": Sons of Alex Bregman and Josh Hader snapped, emulating their father's roles
While both Alex Bregman and Josh Hader continue to do well on the field, their sons are building a case to emulate their father's role when they turn pros. Bregman's son Knox and Hader's son Lucas bonded well during the Astros spring training camp at Palm Beaches in Florida.
A few days ago, Bregman's wife, Reagan, captured Knox and Lucas playing baseball. Knox was the hitter, while Lucas was the right-handed hurler. The post had the perfect caption:
"Mini Bregman and Hader," Reagan wrote in her story.
Moreover, both Lucas and Knox are known to be avid baseball lovers. Their parents often share their baseball videos on social media and their mothers are to be credited for their interest in the sport.
