Arraez edged out Shohei Ohtani (.310) and Marcell Ozuna (.304) for his third batting title (all with three different teams), while Witt Jr. beat Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (.323) and Aaron Judge (.322).
Arraez's victory was almost assured when Ohtani couldn't overtake him in his final regular season game against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. Ozuna had an outside chance to claim the title, with the Atlanta Braves scheduled for a doubleheader on Monday. He went 1-for-8, as his average dipped (.304 to .302), ending third in NL.
Arraez's and Witt Jr.'s respective partners were extremely proud of their better halves' accomplishments, as evidenced by their social media reactions on Sunday.

As for Luis Arraez's wife Gladys, she highlighted her husband notching his 200th hit in the final regular season against the Diamondbacks. He had 203 hits in the 2023 season. Nonetheless, Bobby Witt Jr. was the overall hits leader in 2024 with 211.
As the Padres and Royals look for a deep postseason run, Arraez and Witt Jr. will have a big role to play.
