"Max thriving makes me happy" - Freddie Freeman's wife Chelsea melts hearts with sweet bonding moment as son recovers from recent health scare
LA Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman and his family went through a difficult ordeal after his son Max survived a major health scare. For his wife, Chelsea, seeing Max thrive again is what makes her feel happy.
Max, who is in recovery following the diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome, was alongside his mother and his brother, Brandon, at a restaurant. This comes after the Dodgers clinched the NL West after defeating the San Diego Padres on Thursday.
On Friday, Chelsea uploaded the photo with her two sons. In one of them, Max can be seen enjoying himself, while in the other, Chelsea poses with both of them.
"Max thriving makes me so happy," Chelsea wrote in one pic.
"Never a dull moment with these guys," she wrote in another.

Freddie Freeman's son Max came down with an infection from the MLB All-Star Game, and upon further diagnosis, it was revealed that he was suffering from a rare neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré syndrome. In late July, Freeman, who was in Houston at the time, rushed to LA as his son was admitted to the hospital due to full-body paralysis.
Subsequently, Chelsea let her followers know that Max is recovering and it will take some time before he can start to walk again. However, she said the family was grateful for all the love and blessings coming their way during this tough time.
In another post, Chelsea updated fans about the progress of her son's health.
"Max is mostly sleeping through the night again," Chelsea wrote. "He is sitting unassisted and even started army crawling the last few days. Our life consists of doctor appointments, physical therapy, and lots of pool time ☀️. We are so happy with how well Max has been progressing.
"We are forever grateful to the Dodgers organization and the fans for how incredible they have been to us."
Though Max will have a long recovery ahead, he has his family behind him. Meanwhile, his father, Freddie Freeman, has a big postseason coming up.
With the Dodgers clinching the playoff seeding, they won't have to go through the wild-card round and will feature directly in the divisional series that starts next Saturday. It'll give enough recovery time to the first baseman who exited Thursday's game against the Padres in the seventh inning due to a sprained ankle.
