Padres RHP Michael King wished his wife Sheila on their first wedding anniversary on Monday. The couple had crossed paths for the first time on the campus grounds of Boston College, where they were pursuing higher education. In college, King played baseball while Sheila played lacrosse.

King posted some heartfelt images from his wedding day with Sheila and penned a heartfelt note beside it. The caption on the social media read:

The couple started to date each other when King was playing with the Yankees in the MLB. Later, they decided to get engaged and soon exchanged wedding vows at the Pierre, A Taj Hotel, on December 16, 2023.

In the past, Sheila has worked as a communications assistant with the NFL, a junior publicist at NBC Sports, a senior associate at Daversa Partners and a public relations expert with the New York Giants.

Now, she is the co-founder and the president of the King of the Hill Foundation, which she established with her husband in May.
