MLB analyst proclaims Shohei Ohtani is already a shoo-in for Cooperstown: "He's a Hall of Famer already"
Yesterday, MLB analyst Greg Amsinger hailed Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani as one of the best. This came after he was ranked no. 1 on MLB Network's Top 100 list for the second year in a row.
Here's what Amsinger said while speaking about Ohtani's rank and how he is a shoo-in for Cooperstown:
"He is a Hall of Famer already. This is unlike anything we have ever seen and unlike anything, we will ever see again. It takes a superhuman like Shohei Ohtani for this guy (Aaron Judge) to not be number one."
"Greg Amsinger would send the Angels ace to Cooperstown right now." - MLB Network
Undeniably, Shohei belongs to an elite category of MLB players but needs a minimum of 10 years under his belt. Ohtani will be eligible for Cooperstown induction if he can put together five to six more years of outstanding performances at the plate and on the mound.
Los Angeles Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax is one of the exceptions who got into the HOF despite a short MLB career.
Aaron Judge ranked no. 2 on MLB Network's Top 100 list after Shohei Ohtani
Despite setting the AL single-season home run record, New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge earned second place on MLB Network's Top 100 list.
"The countdown is complete!" - MLB
In 2021, Judge ranked as the no. 21 player in the game in MLB Network’s Top 100 Players list. In 2022, the Yankees captain ranked 11th on the list, thereby improving his score.
