MLB Insider reveals Mike Clevinger will report to Chicago White Sox Spring Training while under investigation following domestic violence allegations
Despite being under investigation for potentially violating MLB's domestic violence policy, Mike Clevinger will still report to Chicago White Sox Spring Training. This is a relatively surprising development, since many players who are under investigation are placed on administrative lead until the conclusion of the investigation.
It was set to be his first season with the Chicago White Sox, prior to allegations of domestic violence coming to light. There is still no update on the progress of the investigation or when a verdict will be rendered.
"Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger, who remains under investigation for potentially violating MLB's domestic violence policy, will be permitted to fully participate at the White Sox's spring training camp. He is not being placed on administrative leave at this time," Bob Nightengale wrote on Twitter.
ESPN shared the story of why Clevinger is under investigation via Twitter. A content warning, the story includes descriptions of the alleged domestic violence.

Clevinger played for the San Diego Padres in 2022. He signed a one-year, $12 million contract with the White Sox this offseason.
Will the investigation into Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger end before Opening Day?
MLB takes these matters very seriously and is incredibly thorough in its investigation. Trevor Bauer's recent investigation and subsequent suspension is proof of that.
It is likely the league will have a decision on Clevinger made prior to Opening Day 2023.
