"My cousin kind of hooked everything up" - When Jackson Holliday shared the story of meeting his future wife Chloe during freshman year

Orioles rookie sensation Jackson Holliday shared how he met his future wife Chloe during his freshman year on a podcast recorded during the 2024 MLB spring training.

Jackson Holliday was joined by his younger brother Ethan Holliday for the podcast. After the player's introduction, the host congratulated Jackson on his wedding and asked him how he met his wife.

Jackson said (2:38):

"We moved to Oklahoma in my freshman year of high school and so Chloe and my cousin Olivia were pretty good freinds. So, I had known Chloe, kind of started talking that summer and then once the school year rolled around when we were sophmores in high school, we just started kind of hanging out almost every day and started dating and here we are now.
"So, pretty easy meet up, nothing too crazy but yeah my cousin kind of hooked everything up a little bit," said Jackson

Jackson Holliday reflected on marrying Chloe at a young age

The podcast host asked Jackson Holliday whether the duo faced any backlash for their wedding.

Jackson replied (4:38):

"Yea I mean obviously people on social media like to say certain things but I mean my parents were married at 20 and 21 and I know quite a bit of people that are in professional sports especially baseball because that's the world that we live in.
You would be surprised to know how many people get married at 20 and 22 or around that age because its a hard life. I mean it's 162 games plus spring training that you're constantly moving and just be able to have that person with you it's amazing. Just to have her here makes everything a whole lot easier especially with the sport we play."

Chloe has been a tower of support for Jackson Holliday throughout his professional career and has never stopped cheering for the rookie despite his topsy-turvy start in the big leagues with the Orioles in 2024.
