"Nice series W! I honestly didn't expect it" - Padres fans starting to believe after team takes series against Rangers on the road

Coming into Thursday's matchup with the Texas Rangers, the San Diego Padres had the chance to take the series against the defending World Series champs. Texas took the first game in the series, but San Diego evened the score on Wednesday to make it one game apiece.

Michael King was able to keep Texas' bats in check with a solid performance on the mound. He went 5.1 innings giving up just one run leading to San Diego's 3-1 victory.

Juricksaon Profar was vital in the team's victory on Thursday. He went two-for-three with a solo shot in the sixth inning off of Max Scherzer, leading to the team's 48th win of the season.

San Diego now sits seven games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, who lead the division, and fans could not be happier. They are starting to believe in their club again.

"Nice series W! I honestly didn't expect it. Profar is the best player in the league" - said a fan.
"I'm starting to get used to this" - said another.
"Nice road trip. Team is playing well despite all the injuries" - said another.

Fans cannot get over how well Profar has been playing. He, alongside his teammate, Fernando Tatis Jr. was selected as starters for the upcoming MLB All-Star game.

"That's 4 series wins in a row!" - said a fan.
"Love to see it.. Keep rolling" - said another.
"Ya done good boys, you done good!" - wrote one fan.

San Diego will not get ready to take on the other team that appeared in the World Series last year, the Arizona Diamondbacks. A good series against them is needed if they want to keep the D-Backs off their backs in the division.

One thing about the Padres' recent hot streak is that they have done this without some of their stars. Tatis Jr. has been dealing with a right femoral stress reaction, and Yu Darvish has been down with right elbow inflammation.

Darvish is expected to return this month, while Tatis Jr. is slated to return following the All-Star break. So, while they have played well, they have the opportunity to be much better soon.

Do not sleep on this team the rest of the way out. Although they have not made much noise this year, they have quietly been stacking up wins.
