St. Louis Cardinals All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado is discontented with World Baseball Classic fans cheering for the Dominican Republic over Team USA.

The DR is the crowd favorite to win the 2023 World Baseball Classic among the 20 nations competing for the title of greatest on the diamond.

The DR has arguably the most talented squad in the competition, featuring Rafael Devers, Juan Soto, Manny Machado, José Ramírez, Jeremy Peña, and AL Rookie of the Year Julio Rodríguez.

However, Nolan Arenado feels that Team USA has an equally full-stacked roster. This includes Clayton Kershaw, Kyle Schwarber, Mike Trout, Kyle Tucker, Trea Turner, and Bobby Witt Jr.

"I feel like we are a really good team, but I still don't think people think they see us as the favorites but we still got to go out there and play hard and do our thing," said Arenado bemoaning the fans favoring DR over USA.

Last time, Team USA won against Puerto Rico 8-0 at the 2017 World Baseball Classic at Dodger Stadium. The reigning champions will look to defend their title.

St. Louis Cardinals All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado opened up saying Mike Trout's participation in World Baseball Classic 2023 instigated him to follow suit.

"I saw his name being the first guy signed up to do it, and that motivated me to want to be out here. So it was one of those things. And obviously, I just love being around him. I love watching him work. I'm going to keep my eye on him, for sure," Nolan said.
