St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado expressed his mourning for the loss of MLB legend Rickey Henderson. The all-time stolen base king passed away at the age of 65 on December 20.

Henderson was one of baseball’s all-time greats. He set a number of records including 1,406 stolen bases, and 2,295 runs scored. He was a 10-time All-Star. Henderson holds the record for most lead-off home runs with 81.
Nolan Arenado, like many other current and former Major Leaguers, was inspired by Henderson’s amazing skills and athleticism.
Henderson was at the height of his talents in the late 80s and early 90s, making three-straight World Series appearances with the Oakland Athletics, winning the 1989 Earthquake Series. He captured another ring with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1993.
Henderson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009.
