Orioles rookie Jackson Holliday hilariously reveals wife Chloe's input in his swing improvement

Baltimore Orioles rookie Jackson Holliday has been on a tear in his second stint in the big leagues, and it appears that his wife Chloe may have had a part to play in his recent improvement at the plate. Despite having been sent back to the minor leagues after struggling in his first call-up, Holliday looks to be a changed player since his return.

For the 2024 season, Holliday is hitting .173 with five home runs and 14 RBIs. The bulk of those have come after the 20-year-old was recalled to the Orioles at the end of July.

On the latest episode of the "Foul Territory" podcast, Jackson talked about how his wife helped him perfect his swing in practice (Timestamp: 25:12):

"Chloe usually watches me train, trying to figure everything out. She once told me it (my swing) looked a bit different.
"She's the best. Just having her watch me practice helped me know I need to sort out my swing."

Holliday also credited his father, Matt with playing a key role in his baseball journey. He comes from a baseball family with his father having enjoyed a long career in the majors and his brother Ethan expected to follow in Jackson's footsteps and be a top pick in the 2025 MLB draft.

In a career spanning from 2004 to 2018, Matt Holliday played for the Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees.

Holliday stays hot at the plate as Orioles beat Nationals at home

The Baltimore Orioles won the second of a two-game series at home against the Washington Nationals 4-1 on Wednesday to split the series.

Jackson Holliday continued his hot patch since returning to the major leagues, as he recorded a one-out RBI to score Colton Cowser in the seventh inning. The run came at a crucial juncture, as the hosts got some much-needed insurance late in the game.

Holliday and the Orioles now face the Boston Red Sox on Thursday in the opening game of what promises to be an entertaining four-game series at Camden Yards. With the New York Yankees opening up a one-game lead in the American League East after beating the Chicago White Sox, fans will be hoping their team can continue to keep pace this season.
