Padres ace Joe Musgrove & girlfriend Arica Christensen shine as 'Jack & Jill' while OF David Peralta & wife Jordan embody 'Bluey fam' on Halloween
San Diego Padres stars Joe Musgrove and David Peralta are enjoying their offseason with their respective families. For Halloween, Musgrove dressed up with Arica Christensen, his girlfriend, as "Jack and Jill," while Peralta and his family of five donned the popular "Bluey" family costumes.
On her Instagram story on Thursday, Christensen shared the image of her with Musgrove. The lovebirds looked adorable in the snap as they sported made-up injuries in line with the sledding incident associated with the story of "Jack and Jill."
"Mr. Jack and Jill," Christensen captioned the IG story.
Meanwhile, Musgrove's ex-Padres teammate Peralta, his wife Jordan, and their kids, who were in "Bluey" family costumes, enacted the theme song of the popular animated show on TikTok and shared it via Peralta's Instagram.
"Happy Halloween 2024. Bluey Family +1," Peralta captioned his IG post.
Bluey's family has only four main characters, thus the "+1" in Peralta's caption. Sofia and Isabelle, Peralta's daughters, and Diego, his son, looked enthusiastic in the Halloween video. It seems they are avid fans of the adventures of Bluey and his younger sister, Bingo.
Joe Musgrove is rehabbing Tommy John surgery, as evidenced by the brace on his hand. Despite his absence, the Padres gave the LA Dodgers, the eventual World Series winners, a run for their money in the NLDS.
On the other hand, Peralta is now a free agent after the end of his one-year deal with the Padres. The 37-year-old recently penned a heartfelt tribute, which many of his Friars' teammates reacted to on social media.
Joe Musgrove, Arica Christensen and Theo recreate iconic snap featuring Dr. Dre, DMX, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg
In addition to his girlfriend, Arica Christensen, his dog, Theo, is an integral part of Joe Musgrove's family. Celebrating Halloween, Musgrove recreated the iconic snap featuring several rap legends.
In the snap, Musgrove, Christensen and Theo gave the stare reminiscent of the "Death Row Records" snap from the 1990s. Fans liked what Musgrove and his family did, evident from the comments on the Instagram post.
Sadly, only two of the four among Dr. Dre, DMX, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg are still alive. Shakur was tragically shot and killed in 1996, while DMX, whose real name was Earl Simmons, died in 2021 due to multiple organ failure.
As for Joe Musgrove, he will miss the 2025 season due to his Tommy John surgery rehab. In his absence, the onus will be on Yu Darvish, Michael King and Dylan Cease to keep the ball rolling for the Padres.
