Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne makes her feelings known on Pirates ace's PMAC attendance for her big night
Paul Skenes' girlfriend and reigning NCAA gymnastics champion with the LSU Tigers, Olivia Dunne, gave her take about the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, which has hosted some of the biggest gymnastics meets for the past 42 years. LSU has been nearly unbeatable at its home venue.
After helping the Tigers to their maiden NCAA title in April, Dunne announced her commitment to the team for a fifth year in July. LSU's gymnastics squad will be showcasing its talents in an exhibition event on Monday in the PMAC and Dunne made her feelings known about it.
"Gym 101 is so much fun and everyone should be in the PMAC tonight," Dunne captioned.
The LSU Tigers gymnastics team will open their season on Jan. 3 when they face the Iowa State Cyclones in Baton Rouge. Dunne has been with LSU for over four years and has achieved a lot of success on and off the mat.
She met Skenes for the first time on campus in 2022 after he transferred from the Air Force Academy. He helped the Tigers win the College World Series the next year and got drafted as the No. 1 overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dunne has been highly supportive of her boyfriend through all his major league starts in 2024 and was a regular at PNC Park. The power couple also celebrates their accomplishments together.
Olivia Dunne feels her relationship with Paul Skenes works because they are complete opposites
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in October, Olivia Dunne talked about why she feels her relationship with the Pirates ace works well.
"I feel like we're like yin and yang," Dunne said. "I love doing social media and I enjoy being in the spotlight, (while) he doesn't even have social media on his phone. He doesn't like social media at all. We're just very opposite and I feel like it really works."
Paul Skenes stays away from social media but showcases his skills on the mound. He capped off an excellent rookie season by winning the NL Rookie of the Year award, finished third in the Cy Young award voting and made it to the All-MLB first team.
