Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne ramps up training at LSU ahead of new NCAA season

Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne are arguably baseball's biggest power couple. Skenes was crowned as the National League Rookie of the Year, while Dunne was part of the title-winning LSU women's gymnastics program.

In an Instagram story on Tuesday, Dunne showcased her skills during one of LSU's practice sessions. The 22-year-old and her squad seem to be ramping up their preparations ahead of next season. Livvy previously announced that she will exercise her final eligible year of competition in the NCAA.

The gymnastics star was instrumental to LSU's run to the NCAA title this year. Dunne performed during the early phases of the event and scored crucial points to secure her school's spot in the semifinals and finals, held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

From there, Dunne took a back seat as 2024 Paris Olympian Aleah Finnegan and teammate Haleigh Bryant took home the gold for LSU.

Olivia Dunne gained fame through her TikTok and Snapchat videos throughout the pandemic years and now makes for one of social media's favorite couples with her boyfriend Paul Skenes.

Paul Skenes' amusing reaction to winning ROY next to Olivia Dunne

After a stellar rookie campaign, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes was named the 2024 NL Rookie of the Year.

Skenes was awarded via telecast through MLB Network. He was sitting alongside his girlfriend Olivia Dunne at Colonel's Club in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While Dunne was visibly happy, the young ace pitcher dropped one of the most nonchalant celebratory responses of all time.

"Wow. Paul Skenes with one of the best acceptance speeches you’ll ever hear." - @ Ben Verlander

After being enthusiastically congratulated by the hosts, Skenes simply replied, "This is cool." The stone-cold response amused Dunne, who let out a contained laugh.

Skenes started 23 games and compiled an impressive 11-3 record with a 1.96 ERA and 170 strikeouts across 133 innings. This also merited him a spot in the All-MLB First Team.
