Paul Skenes' girlfriend Olivia Dunne reflects on LSU years flying by 'in blink of an eye', uses Kenny Chesney’s hit to express her feelings
Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes' girlfriend, Olivia Dunne, along with being a talented gymnast, is a popular social media personality with over five million followers on Instagram and over eight million on Tiktok.
Dunne is a part of the LSU gymnastics team, regarded as one of the nation's finest programs. Although she was due to graduate after the end of the previous collegiate season, she decided to stay on and continue to compete for an extra fifth year.
On Instagram on Tuesday, Dunne posted a series of snaps, one of which was from when she joined the team in 2020 and the second was much more recent, as she prepared for the 2025 season. She later shared the post to her story as well, accompanied by Kenny Chesney's hit, "Don't Blink," as Dunne reflected on how she's grown over the years she's spent competing for LSU.
The 2024 season was a successful one for Olivia Dunne and LSU, which won the national title in April. With more of the country's best talent, such as Olympic gold medal winner Hezly Rivera also set to join Haleigh Bryant, perhaps the greatest gymnast in school history, for the upcoming season, the Tigers will be seeking to repeat as NCAA champions.
Olivia Dunne shares cozy snap with dog Roux
In October 2023, Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne decided to become dog parents to an English retriever named Roux. Although the pup spends most of the year staying in Louisiana with Dunne, she gets her fair share of time with Paul Skenes as the pair frequently make the trip to Pittsburgh for most of the Pirates' home games, as per Country Living.
Just like Skenes and Dunne, it appears a large number of fans have also fallen in love with Roux, with over 16,000 people following her Instagram page. On Wednesday, Olivia Dunne posted a cozy snap of the two to her Instagram story.
"I swear she's obsessed with me😄" Dunne wrote.
With the MLB season having recently concluded and the collegiate gymnastic season still a few months away, Skenes, Dunne and Roux will be looking to make the most of the downtime and spend quality time together even as preparations for next season ramp up.
